IELTS Lift Teacher Training Course

About this Course 

This course is specifically designed for instructors preparing students for the IELTS exam. While useful for all IELTS instructors, it includes special sections for those teaching L1 Chinese students, addressing common opportunities, challenges and cultural factors. These factors are based on our IELTS Lift team’s combined 100 years of experience teaching L1 Chinese learners in Taiwan. 

The course is divided into two parts:

Part 1 – How to Teach IELTS 

Learn about the IELTS test format and practical teaching strategies for all four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking as well as opportunities and challenges. Each chapter ends with a 10-question multiple-choice quiz (and a 5-question quiz for the introduction.) You’ll need a perfect score to move forward, with retries if failing to do so. After completing Part 1, you’ll receive our official IELTS Exam Instructor Certificate

4. Teaching the IELTS Writing Section
5. Teaching the IELTS Speaking Section
6. Opportunities and Challenges
7. Appendices

Part 2 – Classroom Activities

Once you finish Part 1, you’ll get access to a collection of classroom activities designed for each IELTS section. There are also sections dedicated to classroom activities especially useful for teaching L1 Chinese students.

You have access to this course for 6 months starting on the day of payment. Both parts of this course are printable for future reference.
